A special dinner with distinguished guests gathered to honour and give thanks to Louis D’Amore for his 37 years of leadership and vision and his tireless work in forming and developing the International Institute for Peace through Tourism and to hand over the role of IIPT International President to Ajay Prakash.
At the ceremony, Louis D’Amore the man behind Peace through Tourism was given the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award signed by US President Joe Biden, this is the highest award given to a top member of the travel and tourism industry and recognises Dr. D’Amore’s decades long effort to establish travel and tourism as an industry of peace. Lou was also selected to receive the Global Business and Multicultural Peace Award by Dr. Brian Grim, Chairman of the Dare to Overcome Organisation.
