Project of IIPT and Skal International Roma Italy

Project of the International Institute of Peace through Tourism (IIPT) Skal International Roma, in the activities of Brand Ambassador of his Country, in collaboration with the 2nd District of the City of Roma and AMUSE ( Friends of the 2nd District) , has organized on Friday 18th September at the Hotel Savoy in Roma, the Project presentation of the International Institute of Peace through Tourism (IIPT) www.expedition196.com Cassandra De Pecol , a young American lady, was the special guest on behalf of the International Institute of Peace through Tourism that was founded 25 years ago by an Italian-American, Mr. Louis D’Amore.

She will travel around the world for three years with the aim of drawing the attention of the media on peace and cooperation among peoples. In every city, Cassandra, will plant up to five trees with the local administration and one school and the last stop was in Roma from 18th to 19th September. The green area of “Chigi Park” has been chosen in collaboration with the 2nd District of the City of Roma and AMUSE. The schools were the Nursery School “Villa Chigi” and the Primary School “Contardo Ferrini”. On the 18th September, at 9.00 am, a cherry tree was planted in the Nursery School “Villa Chigi”, with the participation of all the children. At 10.00 am, another cherry tree was planted in the Primary School “ Contardo Ferrini”.

After these two events, a press conference took place at the Savoy Hotel. During the conference, the focus was on the IIPT Project’s targets and on the various activities developed in the schools. Undeniable the aim of spreading abroad a good image of Rome. The primary goal for Skal International Roma is to promote the Tourism of Roma and Italy around the world, in particular among the 18.000 Skal members of 450 clubs in 89 Countries. A great opportunity of visibility, image and positioning that only Skal International can assure to its members.
