KATHMANDU: Deepak Raj Joshi, Chief executive officer of Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), has been awarded the highest IIPT Champions in Challenge Award for 2018 from the International Institute for Peace through Tourism at the International Travel Crisis Management Summit (ITCMS) in London, United Kingdom.
The CEO was honored with the award for his continuous hard work and success in bouncing back and bringing tourism to the forefront in Nepal. His leadership during the nation’s crisis phase has been recognized and appreciated by not only the international travel trade fraternity but also by important councils like the IIPT.
Mr. Joshi and the entire Nepalese Tourism fraternity have been putting time and energy into not only the betterment of Nepal’s tourism, but also into taking Nepal’s tourism to a higher level internationally.
This is a big moment for the Nepal Tourism Board, the Nepalese Tourism industry, and Mr. Joshi who is now an International Tourism Peace Ambassador.
