Crete Culinary Sanctuaries Educational Network is featured in Destination Stewardship Yearbook

Nikki Rose report “Crete Needs to Restore its Gastronomic Heritage” is featured in Destination Stewardship Yearbook. The Destination Stewardship Center was founded by Jonathan Tourtellot, former editor of National Geographic Traveler.

In the report, I note the benefits of linking small-scale sustainable organic agriculture with sustainable tourism, including quotes from small-scale organic farmers/heirloom seed savers and reports from IPES, IFOAM, Agroecology Europe, et al.

Destination Stewardship Yearbook 2020 – 2021

Curated into one document, the Destination Stewardship Report’s Annual Yearbook is based on the e-quarterly Destination Stewardship Reports. Sharing “lessons learned” is the purpose of this report. The destinations featured have many good stories to tell about what has worked in their journey toward sustainability.
